I had an issue with some rattling in the rear of the car. I had taken my car to 3 other shops, who could not resolve the item. I found Davis Repair on the web - they had very good reviews. - so I thought I would try them. Well, they RESOLVED the problem! They did an excellent job, and I would use them again.

In July 2015, I took my Prius for a "maintenance due" light, Larry had someone review and reset it for me - no charge and just very helpful. That set a tone of trust for my future business. He was helpful and honest - - it just doesn't get much better! In August 2015, I purchased a used Jeep and had them do a vehicle inspection - they also took me and picked me back up from a local coffee shop while the work was being performed. I bought my Jeep and it has been great! Had they told me no, I would have taken it back to dealership. A few days later, they changed the oil and gave me tips on consideration for future maintenance. Last week, I took the Prius in for an oil change - it was done in less than 30 minutes and the service was excellent! Schedule an appointment. Both Hannah and Katie are at the front desk, always helpful and very pleasant. It is refreshing to do business with a family-owned business - they are just awesome! I realize we all fear bad encounters with our car maintenance, but if you want honest, friendly, family-owned and extremely knowledgeable professionals - - - go to Davis Repair, they are a welcomed relief.

Suddenly, my Honda Accord with 400,800 hassle-free miles coughed to a stop!I never had dealt with a mechanic before. So, I signed up with Angie's List and found Davis Auto Repair with a high rating. I called and talked to Larry Brown, who took time to consult with me and offer advice, alternative possibilities, and possible costs.He recommended a reliable tow service. The tow truck driver showed up on time and took my Honda to Davis' shop.Soon, Larry called and suggested specific solutions. He told me that this particular carburetor ('83 Accord) was very complicated, so I had the option of using a carburetor-specialist across town.As it turned out, long ago Larry had a car like mine (yay). So, I had confidence in Larry's ability, even though we had never met. I told him I would rather do business with someone who can provide other services rather than a specialist whom I would likely never need again.Actually, Larry manages several technicians at Davis. Yet, he did the work himself and took special care of my vintage Honda. We kept in touch by phone. He discovered that the problem what's with the carburetor floats. So he overhauled the carburetor and installed a carburetor kit.Within a few days, Larry called and said the car was ready. When I arrived, I was impressed by his modern, very clean shop. He took the time to explain to me the problems he had solve, and then introduced me to everyone who works there.I was thrilled when I saw my car sitting in the lot... It had been washed and vacuumed, too! And... it drove like brand-new. Money well spent. YAAAY! (last week)UPDATE Yesterday, I returned to Davis for fine tuning of the carburetor. Larry used his skill and intuition for an expert-tweak on the carburetor. Now, it runs PERFECT! YAAAY again! -- MH
